Axles

High speed and low speed, braked and unbraked, axles from 900kg to 14ton capacities.

Axle Information

General points:

The load capacities of each axle are given with a maximum overhang position, which should not be exceeded and for a single axle application, at a speed of 25 km/h or 40 km/h and in the normal use conditions, calculations are based on centre nave wheels being fitted. If the speed is 40 km/h, apply a coefficient of 0,90 to the load given for a single axle.  If the use is multi-axles application, a 0,75 coefficient ratio on the load given at 25 km/h, for the compatible types only, in that case use the suitable hubs : reinforced cast iron Hub (MFR), steel (A) or ductile iron (X).

For specific applications, especially if side stress must be taken into account (slurry tanker, big wheels, etc..), please ask us and also with a wheel radius over 0,60 m. Our axles are delivered greased for tempered countries. We indicate a standard track but we are able to manufacture any track you may require. Stub-axles are also available to customer specifications together with cranked axles, directional axles, and customized axles.

Braked axles:

These are supplied with a short cam (I) or with a long cam (J). For a different length, please ask us. Please do not forget to check the compatibility between the wheel, hub and drum.

There is no relation between brake capacity and axle load capacity According sizes, our brakes are approved 25 km/h CEMAGREF or TÜV, 40 km/h UTAC or TÜV and for higher speed. For more information please contact us.

Rocking system, boggies, tandems and tridems:

The brake actuators (air or hydraulic) can be fitted as an option. It is possible to fit other types of axles and brakes sizes. Please ask us depending on the applications and countries concerned.

Maintenance:

Please check the tightening of the wheels and brake adjust once the axles starts in operational service and check regular the greasing bearing and brakes. We have a technical inspection form at your disposal to assist your maintenance service schedule for our axles.
